Who this covers

This policy covers the Tonzo website and the account you use to shop on it. It is operated by Tonzo India Private Limited, New Delhi.

We do not publish a mobile app, and nothing here describes one. We do not collect your location.

What we collect, and what we don't

We collect

Covered:Your name, email address and mobile number, when you create an account or place an order
Covered:Delivery addresses you save or enter at checkout
Covered:Your order history, returns and support conversations
Covered:Your reviews, questions and anything else you choose to post
Covered:Basic technical information your browser sends, such as IP address and browser type, in our server logs

Why we need it

To sell you something and get it to you. Your name, phone number and address go to our courier so the order can be delivered.
To sign you in. We send a one-time password to your mobile number by SMS or WhatsApp, or you can sign in with Google or Facebook, in which case we receive your name and email address from them.
To keep you posted. Order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
To support you. Handling returns, refunds, service requests and questions.
To keep the site working and honest. Server logs help us find faults and block abuse.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share only what a job needs, with:

Razorpay, our payment gateway, which processes the payment itself.
Courier partners, who receive the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
Messaging providers, who deliver the one-time passwords and order updates we send by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
Anyone we are legally required to share it with, such as a lawful request from an authority.

Cookies we set

We do not run advertising cookies. These are the ones the site actually uses.

Your choices

Write to us and we will act on any of these:

See what we hold. Ask for a copy of the personal information on your account.
Correct it. You can edit your name, phone number and addresses yourself under My Account, or ask us.
Delete it. Ask us to close your account and remove your personal information. We have to keep invoices and tax records for the period the law requires, so those stay.
Stop the marketing messages. Unsubscribe from any marketing email, or tell us to stop. Messages about an order you actually placed will still be sent.

How long we keep things

Account and order records are kept while your account is open and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Support conversations are kept while they are useful for warranty and service history.

Keeping it safe

The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and access to customer data is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfect, so if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

This is a shop for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date shown here.
